Job Title: Meat Cutter

Venerica Meats Inc is seeking a skilled Meat Cutter to join our team. As a Meat Cutter, you will be responsible for cutting and preparing meats for sale in our retail and wholesale operations.

Responsibilities:
  • Cut and trim meats to prepare for processing or cutting
  • Cut carcasses, sides, and quarters
  • Prepare special cuts of meat ordered by customers
  • Cut, trim, and prepare standard cuts of meat
  • Wrap and package prepared meats
  • Remove bones from meat
  • Weigh meats for sale
  • Cut poultry into parts
  • Cut fish into steaks and fillets
  • Supervise other butchers, meat cutters, and fishmongers
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Attention to detail
  • Physically demanding
  • Handling heavy loads
  • Hand-eye coordination
Work Environment:

Venerica Meats Inc is a meat processing and packing plant/establishment. As a Meat Cutter, you will work in a cold/refrigerated environment and be required to stand for extended periods.
