About the Role

Handis Consulting Ltd. is seeking a highly skilled Data Management Consultant and Strategist to join our team. This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity for a seasoned professional with a diverse range of data management skill sets and experience in working in multi-faceted roles. The successful candidate will have a strong background in data platform management, data technology roadmaps, and data governance standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead Data Services Development: Design and establish enable data service offerings, including data platform services and data management services.
  • Provide Subject Matter Expertise: Provide subject matter expertise and recommendations on data platform management and establishing fully managed platform services.
  • Build Federated Data Ecosystem: Build a federated data ecosystem system strategy, tactical plan, and roadmap.
  • Develop Business Cases: Develop business cases, feasibility studies, risk assessments, scope development, project and program planning, change management.
  • Lead Hybrid Data Initiatives: Lead hybrid (cloud and on-premise) data initiatives, from strategy development to implementation, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Develop Data Platforms: Develop data platforms, governance standards, processes, and mechanisms to enable organizations to manage information through its entire lifecycle.
  • Lead Large Enterprise-Scale Projects: Lead large enterprise-scale projects and programs, preparing and implementing government-wide strategies and/or mandates on data transformation initiatives.
Requirements
  • Education: A university degree in business, management, or a related discipline, or a combination of education and experience.
  • Work Experience: At least 7 years of experience in designing, planning, implementing, and supporting data platforms and data solutions for large projects involving multiple data sources in an architect capacity for an enterprise environment.
  • Soft Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, ability to learn quickly, problem solve, troubleshoot, work independently and as part of a team, manage stress and conflict, and establish and maintain effective working relationships with team members, management, and vendors.
