Lumber Yard Supervisor

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lumber Yard Supervisor to join our team at Delta Cedar Saw Mill LP. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily activities of our lumber yard, ensuring efficient and safe production processes.
Key Responsibilities:- Schedule Work: Plan and coordinate the work schedule for our lumber yard team, ensuring that tasks are completed on time and to a high standard.
- Maintenance and Repair: Arrange for regular maintenance and repair work to be carried out on our equipment and machinery, minimizing downtime and ensuring optimal performance.
- Quality Control: Monitor and maintain high-quality standards in our lumber products, identifying and addressing any issues promptly.
- Reporting: Prepare and submit regular progress reports to management, highlighting key achievements and areas for improvement.
- Materials Management: Requisition and order materials, equipment, and supplies as needed, ensuring that our lumber yard is well-stocked and equipped.
- Problem-Solving: Resolve work-related problems, provide technical advice, and recommend measures to improve productivity and product quality.
- Equipment Operation: Supervise the operation of mechanical equipment and machinery, ensuring safe and efficient use.
- Team Management: Supervise, coordinate, and schedule the activities of our lumber yard team, providing guidance and support as needed.
- Training and Development: Train staff in job duties, safety procedures, and company policies, ensuring that our team is well-equipped to perform their roles effectively.
