Produce Clerk

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Produce Clerk to join our team at our Food Store location in La Ronge, Saskatchewan. As a key member of our Produce Team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, maintaining a clean and well-organized department, and ensuring that our products meet the highest standards of quality and freshness.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide legendary service to customers through various communication channels
• Prepare products to Lake Country Co-op standards while maintaining production records
• Procure, receive, and display product with a focus on well-organized, visually appealing presentation
• Follow all Food Safe and Health and Safety regulations and practices
• Continually monitor code dates to ensure the freshest inventory on the shelf at all times; follow FIFO
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements:

• Grade 12 education or a combination of relevant experience; background in the retail produce industry is considered an asset
• Honest and trustworthy, results-oriented, and proud of the work that you do
• Well-organized, capable of attaining a high level of production, with a minimum amount of supervision
• Familiar with food safe procedures and practices
• Ability to fulfill extensive physical labour job requirements – standing, performing regular heavy lifting, and frequent operation of a pallet jack
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, guest-facing environment
• Flexible work schedule including weekends, evenings, and holidays
