The Adult Neurodevelopmental Service at the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health is seeking a Developmental Service Worker to work in our clinic. This temporary, full-time position will last 12 months.

Job Description

In this role, you will provide support to clients with dual diagnosis disorders, working within a biopsychosocial model of care. You will be part of an inter-professional team, contributing to the organization and optimal function of the clinic.

Responsibilities
  • Ensure a safe environment and promote the independence, dignity, and well-being of clients.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of comprehensive plans that enhance clients' quality of life.
  • Work collaboratively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals to achieve optimal outcomes.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • A Developmental Service Worker diploma from a recognized college.
  • Direct experience working with clients who have dual diagnosis disorders.
  • A competent understanding of behavioral treatment protocols and crisis prevention and intervention skills.
  • Knowledge of psychotropic medications and person-centered planning principles.
Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of $62,000-$72,000 per year, depending on experience. Additionally, you will receive benefits such as BCLS and First Aid certifications, and the opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive team environment.
