Bakery Assistant

LORD GAINSBOROUGH RESTAURANT is seeking a skilled Bakery Assistant to join our team. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality baked goods, including bread, pastries, and desserts. Your attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment will be essential in ensuring the success of our bakery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare dough for pies, bread, rolls, and sweet goods according to recipes or special customer orders
- Requisition or order materials, equipment, and supplies
- Bake mixed dough and batters
- Train staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food
- Prepare special orders
- Ensure that the quality of products meets established standards
- Inspect kitchen and food service areas
- Operate machinery
- Hire and dismiss staff
- Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances
Requirements:
- 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a bakery or related field
- Permanent employment
- English as the primary language of work
- 35 hours per week
