Nursing Care Specialist

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse to join RhynoCare as part of our team, focusing on providing exceptional nursing care to our residents in the Unionville-area. This role involves delivering patient-centered care, ensuring timely and safe resident transfers and discharges, and maintaining accurate records.
The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor of Science – Nursing (BScN) or equivalent, current registration as an RN, and Basic Cardiac Life Support certification. Strong written and verbal communication skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a team, are essential. Additional requirements include a Clear Criminal Record check, Vulnerable Sector Police Check, and Adult Abuse Registry Check, as well as up-to-date vaccination records and adherence to COVID-19 prevention protocols.
Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality patient care, following established policies, physician orders, and resident plans of care.
- Ensure timely and accessible admissions, including resident orientation and comprehensive care planning.
- Manage medications and narcotics safely, adhering to protocols and guidelines.
- Participate in the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care to meet residents' physical, psychological, emotional, spiritual, cultural, and social needs.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure seamless care transitions and timely discharges.
Requirements:
- Bachelor of Science – Nursing (BScN), Bachelor of Nursing (BN), or equivalent.
- Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the College of Nurses.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification.
- Valid First Aid and CPR Certificate.
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and communicate with residents, families, and healthcare staff.
- Knowledge of the Long Term Care Act, Program Standards for Long Term Care, and relevant Federal, Provincial, and Municipal Statutes.
- Medical Clearance, including TB tests.
- Clear Criminal Record check, Vulnerable Sector Police Check, and Adult Abuse Registry Check.
- Valid vaccination records and adherence to COVID-19 prevention protocols.
