Job Title: Registered Nurse - Emergency Department

We are seeking a motivated Registered Nurse to join our team in the Emergency Department at Fort St. John Hospital. As a Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care and nursing practice activities of patients presenting in the Emergency Department.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care and nursing practice activities
  • Provide nursing care, assistance, and relief to all nursing areas, including ICU, Maternity, Med/Surg, and Ambulatory Care
  • Participate in the Regional Emergency Department Education Program (REDEP) to develop specialized skills, knowledge, attitudes, and judgment required to provide safe and competent emergency nursing care
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to provide high-quality patient care and achieve excellent patient outcomes
Requirements:
  • Current registration with the BC College of Nurses and Midwives as a practicing RN registrant
  • Three (3) years' full-time recent acute care experience involving intensive care, obstetrics, and emergency or an equivalent combination of training and experience
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
  • Ability to deal with others effectively
  • Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position
