Job Title: Registered Nurse - Obstetrics

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team at Fort St. John Hospital. As a Registered Nurse - Obstetrics, you will provide high-quality patient care to women and newborns in our maternity unit.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide nursing care to patients in the labour and delivery unit, including prenatal, labour, and postpartum care.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
  • Monitor patients' vital signs and report any changes or concerns to the healthcare team.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to stay up-to-date on best practices and new technologies.
Requirements:
  • Current registration with the BC College of Nurses and Midwives as a practicing RN registrant.
  • Successful completion of post-graduate course in obstetrics.
  • Current certifications in Therapy and Blood Glucose Monitoring and Neonatal Resuscitation and Obstetrical examination.
  • Two years of continuous full-time experience on an obstetrical unit, including labour and delivery.
