Chief Data Architect for Payments and Financial Systems

As a Data Solution Architect at National Bank, you will play a crucial role in the bank's transformation by designing and implementing data architectures that meet business objectives. This position offers an exciting opportunity to collaborate with various teams and leverage your knowledge of business processes, systems integration, Domain Driven Design (DDD) concept, cloud services, and complex solution design.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Capturing functional and non-functional requirements: Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and build data architectures (conceptual, logical, physical) aligned with business objectives.
  • Evaluating emerging technologies: Recommend appropriate technologies, platforms, and tools for each project, ensuring solutions are scalable, secure, and compliant with industry standards.
  • Designing end-to-end technical solutions: Identify the most suitable integration patterns, such as APIs, streaming, MSA, containerization/serverless, which allow scalability, maintainability, and are decoupled, secure, and cost-effective.
  • Applying DDD principles: Use Domain Driven Design principles to solve complex problems while delivering a composable architecture.
  • Ensuring data security and compliance: Act as guarantor for data identification, catalog, quality, traceability, and documentation.

In addition to these responsibilities, you will also be responsible for producing native or hybrid Cloud solutions using AWS cloud services, developing and implementing robust security measures, and acting as a trusted advisor to customers and partners.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software design and development, with experience in large-scale, complex solutions. Proficiency in AWS cloud services, such as EKS and Serverless, as well as structured and unstructured databases, is essential. Knowledge of processes associated with debit/credit cards is an asset.

This role requires excellent communication and influencing skills, with the ability to synthesize, analyze, and popularize complex information. Experience with agile methodologies is also necessary.

AWS Solution Architect Associate and/or Professional certification is required for this position.
