Job Title: Welder

SKYLINE WELDING & FABRICATION LTD. is seeking a skilled Welder to join our team. As a Welder, you will be responsible for performing a variety of welding tasks, including operating manual or semi-automatic welding equipment, reading and interpreting welding blueprints and specifications, and ensuring that welds meet standards and specifications.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate manual or semi-automatic welding equipment to join metal parts together
  • Read and interpret welding blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine the best welding technique and equipment to use
  • Examine welds to ensure they meet standards and specifications
  • Maintain and perform minor repairs on welding equipment
  • Determine the weldability of materials and select the appropriate welding technique and equipment
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in welding
  • Ability to work outdoors in a fast-paced environment
  • Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination
  • Ability to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs)
Work Environment:

The Welder will work in a commercial setting, outdoors, and will be required to work in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have excellent manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination, and will be able to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs).

Language:

The primary language of work is English.

Hours:

The Welder will work 40 hours per week.
