Your Responsibilities as a Manager, Privately Held Business Group:
- Lead and execute client engagements under various reporting frameworks, focusing on Canadian Accounting Standards for Private Enterprises (ASPE).
- Contribute to business development by leveraging your expertise and understanding of all Grant Thornton services.
- Act as a leader by actively participating in the development and execution of the office business strategy.
- Maximize engagement profitability through effective resource utilization.
- Analyze and review corporate and personal income tax returns, compilations, reviews, and special reports.
- Plan and lead teams to exceed client expectations.
- Supervise and mentor an accounting team, including file reviews.
- Engage, coach, and develop talented professionals to maximize their growth potential.

Qualifications We Seek:
- Strong experience in reviewing and leading compilation and review engagements, particularly with owner-managed clients.
- Excellent general tax skills with the ability to identify tax-related issues.
- Focus on people management and a coaching-oriented approach.
- Strong personal and professional brand in the marketplace.
- Ability to communicate effectively and inspire others.
- Commitment to quality, excellence, and continuous professional growth for yourself and your team.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in public accounting or a related field.
- Completion of CPA designation is required.

What We Offer:
We provide profit sharing, flexible days, RRSP contributions, firmwide holiday closures, wellness benefits, concierge-like services, and the ability to work from anywhere in Canada during the summer for four weeks, among other benefits. We are committed to ensuring our compensation practices are fair, equitable, and competitive, with a current base salary range for this role of $75,000 - $95,000.
