Job Summary
This role provides an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive environment where you will be responsible for managing administrative tasks, interacting with patients, and coordinating with medical staff. You will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of our front office, providing excellent patient experience, and contributing to our team's success.
Key Responsibilities
- Answer phones and greet incoming patients and visitors
- Perform patient registration and insurance verification, and collect co-pays
- Prioritize scheduling patient appointments according to doctor availability
- Request and obtain medical records for patients prior to appointment dates
- Send medical records of existing patients upon request and proper authorization
- Work fluidly in our EHR system (EPIC) to ensure accurate and complete information
- Guide patients through the process, kindly answering their questions and concerns
- Coordinate with office staff for timely care of patients
- Participate in various projects and meetings, and complete other tasks assigned by management
Requirements
To succeed in this role, you must have strong organizational and time management skills, excellent communication abilities, and attention to detail. You should be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and other office software, with experience working in EHR systems (EPIC preferred). A high school diploma is required; an associate college degree is preferred. Additionally, you should be able to communicate effectively in Spanish and English, both in-person and over the phone.
