Estimated Salary: $38.58 per hour

About the Role

We have opportunities for you to work as an NDE Inspector Level A at our facility in Cambridge, Ontario. Primary Function:

To perform all tasks of a NDE Inspector A and to conduct non-destructive examinations.

  • Perform NDE based on certifications in all areas of the Shop.
  • Read and interpret documentation, including drawings and operating procedures.
  • Create inspection reports, maintain and file documentation.
  • Demonstrate good workmanship and practices.
  • Communicate effectively with internal team members (i.e. peers, production leadership, Project Management, Engineering) as well as customer representatives.
  • Work in a safe manner, complying with all health, safety, and environmental guidelines/regulations.
  • Understand and adhere to quality requirements and productivity expectations.
Requirements and Qualifications

We are looking for a highly motivated individual with:

  • Proven commitment to workplace safety.
  • Must possess ONE (1) of the following: CEDO UT CGSB-1 RT CGSB-1 2 years as a Fabrication/Machining inspector within BWXT Canada Ltd.; 5 years as Fabrication/Machine inspector with documented evidence from an external company or 5 years Fitting/Welding experience within BWXT Canada Ltd.; Certified Weld Inspector (AWS-CWI or CWB2).
  • Previous experience in a heavy manufacturing environment or in nuclear power-related industry.
  • Commitment to quality and the ability to work as a positive, effective team member, willing to go the extra mile to ensure we meet our customer expectations.
  • Proficient with computer software.
  • Must be available to work any of the following shifts: Days: 6:00 am to 4:00 pm. (Mon – Thurs) Nights: 4:00 p.m. – 2:00 a.m. (Mon – Thurs)
  • Weekends (Fri, Sat, Sun – 33 hrs paid 40 hrs)
  • Days: 6:00 am to 5:00 pm. Nights: 5:00 p.m. – 4:00 a.m.
