Job Opportunity at Canada Post
We are seeking a part-time Post Office Assistant to provide exceptional customer service to our customers. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for selling postal products and services, sorting and distributing mail, and addressing customer inquiries.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sell postal products and services to businesses and individuals
- Sort and distribute mail into appropriate classifications
- Provide customers with information and forms
- Address delivery and service difficulties to resolve problems thoroughly and quickly
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent and/or experience in business administration
- Training and/or experience interacting with the public in a retail and/or service environment
- Understanding of general or post office accounting systems
- Physical ability to lift mail containers of up to 50 lb, push or pull boxes, sort mail, and stand for extended periods of time
Working Hours:
4 hours per week, with specific hours to be determined
Additional Information:
As a Post Office Assistant, you will be required to complete a security screening process as part of the selection process. This position may be considered a Safety Sensitive position and has additional requirements under Canada Post's Substance Use Policy.
