Job Summary
As a Psycho-Educational Consultant, you will work closely with our Senior Manager, Psychological Services, to provide comprehensive consultation services to Board staff, students, and parents. Your expertise will be invaluable in conducting psycho-educational assessments, investigating learning and social-emotional disorders, and developing effective intervention strategies for students with special needs.
Responsibilities
- Conduct individual psycho-educational assessments of students experiencing difficulty functioning within the school setting
- Investigate possible learning and/or social-emotional disorders
- Develop and implement effective intervention strategies for students with special needs
- Provide consultation services to Board staff, students, and parents
Requirements
- Masters or Ph.D. degree in Psychology
- Certificate of Registration through the College of Psychologists of Ontario
- Minimum of two (2) years recent work experience in a related field
- Excellent writing and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively with diverse communities
