Structural Wood Specialist

We are looking for a skilled Structural Wood Specialist to join our team at The Arbor Victorian Living LTD.
About the RoleThis is a permanent, full-time position that requires a combination of physical labor and technical expertise.
ResponsibilitiesPrepare building layouts according to local codes and regulations using precision measuring tools.
Cut, shape, assemble, and join various materials such as wood, steel, and wood substitutes for construction purposes.
Built foundations, installed floor beams, laid subflooring, and erected walls and roof systems.
Schedule and coordinate work on construction sites.
Conduct site surveys and assess building levels.
Mentor apprentices in their training and development.
Supervise and lead other workers on site.
Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
A minimum of 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in the field.
This role involves bending, crouching, kneeling, and handling heavy loads.
The working environment is physically demanding with a combination of sitting, standing, and walking.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
Strong client focus and ability to make sound judgments.
Reliable and a strong team player.
We offer a competitive salary estimated to be around $55,000 per annum, based on industry standards and location. Additionally, you will enjoy 40 hours of work per week with the opportunity for career growth and professional development.
