Junior Accountant Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Junior Accountant to join our corporate finance team. As a Junior Accountant, you will play a key role in financial reporting, including cash monitoring, general journal posting, bank reconciliations, and fixed assets management.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and review financial reports, including cash flow statements and balance sheets
  • Perform general journal postings, bank reconciliations, and fixed assets management
  • Assist with HST and PST filing, and audit requests from external auditors
  • Collaborate with the finance team, business units, and external stakeholders to achieve financial goals
Requirements:
  • University/College diploma in Accounting, Business Admin, or relevant education
  • 1-3 years of experience in full cycle accounting or similar role (Construction Industry preferred)
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and experience with SAP and other ERP systems
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, analytical and organizational skills, and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently within a team environment, handle strict deadlines, and work under pressure
