About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Automotive Technician to join our team at Kia of Brockville. As a key member of our service department, you will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing complex mechanical issues in our customers' vehicles.

Key Responsibilities
  • Diagnose and Repair Mechanical Issues: Use your expertise to identify and fix problems with our customers' vehicles, ensuring they are safe and running smoothly.
  • Inspect and Test Vehicles: Conduct thorough inspections and tests to locate faults and malfunctions, and make recommendations for repairs.
  • Communicate with Customers: Provide clear and concise explanations of the work performed and future repair requirements to our customers.
  • Maintain a Clean and Organized Workspace: Ensure your workspace is tidy and organized, and that all tools and equipment are properly maintained.
  • Stay Up-to-Date with Industry Developments: Participate in ongoing training and education to stay current with the latest technologies and techniques in the automotive industry.
Requirements
  • Automotive Service Technician Trade Certification: Hold a valid certification in automotive service technology.
  • Experience with Complex Repairs: Have a minimum of 3 years of experience in diagnosing and repairing complex mechanical issues in vehicles.
  • Excellent Communication Skills: Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain technical information to customers.
  • Physical Demands: Be able to stand for extended periods, lift heavy objects, and work in a fast-paced environment.
