About the Junior Interior Design Technologist Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Junior Interior Design Technologist to join our team at Parkin Architects Limited. This is an exciting opportunity for individuals who are passionate about interior design and have a desire to contribute to the development of healthcare environments.

The Junior Interior Design Technologist will play a vital role in providing technical support to interior designers, assisting in the translation of design concepts into technical drawings. You will be working collaboratively with interior designers, architects, engineers, and other design disciplines to facilitate design integration.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with interior designers to assist in translating design concepts into technical drawings.
  • Participate in the preparation of interior design drawings, including floor plans, elevations, sections, and details.
  • Support the selection and specification of interior finishes, materials, and furniture suitable for healthcare environments.
  • Coordinate with architects, engineers, and other design disciplines to facilitate design integration.
  • Ensure that interior design solutions comply with building codes, regulations, and industry standards.

Requirements:

  • Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Interior Design Technology or a related field.
  • 1+ years of experience in interior design, preferably with exposure to healthcare projects.
  • Basic proficiency in design software, such as AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Interest in producing interior design drawings and construction documents.
  • Familiarity with building codes, regulations, and industry standards applicable to healthcare facilities.
