As a Senior Manager, Leadership Giving, you will play a critical role in building a sustainable major gifts program for the Canadian Cancer Society. Your focus will be on raising funds to support vital mission priorities, with a particular emphasis on the Greater Vancouver Region.

Reporting to the Executive Director, Leadership Giving (BC), you will personally manage a portfolio of 150 prospects and donors, with an annual revenue target of between $500,000 - $1,000,000.

  1. Identify, Cultivate, Solicit, and Steward Major Gift Donors
  2. Account Management
  3. Engage in the Planning Process

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field
  • At least 7+ years of frontline fundraising or related experience
  • 6 to 8 years of experience managing a major gift pipeline with demonstrated success raising funds
  • Strong track record of securing individual major gifts in a complex not-for-profit organization
  • Experience using donor database management tools such as Raiser's Edge or Salesforce
  • Must have access to a vehicle as travel is required
  • Proficiency in Cantonese or Mandarin is considered an asset
  • CFRE designation is preferred
  • Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills
  • Excellent communication skills including the ability to write clearly and succinctly in a variety of communication settings and styles
  • Strong relationship management skills
