Job Title: Food Service Supervisor

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Food Service Supervisor to join our team at Newlands Golf & Country Club. As a Food Service Supervisor, you will be responsible for supervising and coordinating the activities of staff who prepare and portion food, as well as training staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish methods to meet work schedules and ensure that food and service meet quality control standards.
  • Supervise and train staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures.
  • Estimate ingredient and supplies required for meal preparation and prepare budget and cost estimates.
  • Address customers' complaints or concerns and maintain records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage.
  • Prepare and submit reports and supervise the assembly of trays and delivery of food trolleys.

Requirements:

  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a food service environment.
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and provide excellent customer service.
