About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Welder to join our team at Jas Truck & Trailer Repair Inc. as a Fabrication Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for operating manual or semi-automatic welding equipment to fabricate or repair metal parts and products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate Manual or Semi-Automatic Welding Equipment: Use manual or semi-automatic welding equipment to fabricate or repair metal parts and products.
  • Operate Manual or Semi-Automatic Flame-Cutting Equipment: Use manual or semi-automatic flame-cutting equipment to cut metal parts and products.
  • Operate Metal Shaping and Bending Machines: Use brakes, shears, and other metal shaping, straightening, and bending machines to shape and bend metal parts and products.
  • Operate Hoisting and Lifting Equipment: Use hoisting and lifting equipment to lift and move heavy metal parts and products.
  • Maintain and Repair Welding Equipment: Maintain and perform minor repairs on welding, brazing, and soldering equipment.
Support for Newcomers and Refugees
  • Cultural Competency Training: Provide diversity and cross-cultural trainings to create a welcoming work environment for newcomers and/or refugees.
Support for Indigenous People
  • Cultural Awareness Training: Provide cultural competency training and/or awareness training to all employees to create a welcoming work environment for Indigenous workers.
Work Environment
  • Work Language: English
  • Hours: 30 to 40 hours per week
