About the Role:

This position will play a key role in supporting clinical supervision and programs that impact the delivery of care. Responsibilities include developing annual education plans, attending committee meetings, and providing frontline presence on units to support and evaluate quality and educational opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement an annual education plan to enhance staff knowledge and skills.
  • Attend and participate in various committee meetings to contribute to quality improvement initiatives.
  • Provide frontline presence on units to identify and address quality and educational gaps.
  • Review and assess applications for long-term care from Home and Community Care.
  • Identify training needs and develop solutions to improve staff performance.
  • Ensure adherence to established policies and procedures regarding quality assurance, fire safety, environment, and infection control.
  • Perform other duties as required to support operational requirements.
Requirements:
  • Registered Nurse (R.N.) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (B.S.C.N.) preferred.
  • MNU Registration.
  • R.N. registration preferred.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of clinical issues related to geriatric residents, infection control, adult education principles, and Continuous Quality Improvement.
  • Familiarity with long-term care principles and philosophy.
  • Previous experience in long-term care and knowledge preferred.
  • Familiarity with electronic health record systems.
  • Knowledge of LTC industry regulatory requirements and current best practices.
  • Able to work independently and be self-directed.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Salary Range:

$55,000 - $75,000 per year, depending on experience.
