Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Surveyor to join our team. As a Mechanical Surveyor, you will be responsible for leading and managing surveying and layout activities on construction sites. You will work closely with our team to ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage surveying and layout activities on construction sites
  • Coordinate with other disciplines to ensure that projects are completed on time and within budget
  • Manage and mentor apprentices and junior staff
  • Communicate effectively with colleagues, trades, and sub-trades
  • Travel within the lower mainland as required
  • Assist with internal or parkade layout as required
  • Manage on-site logistics, materials, and pre-fab for layout and deck work
  • Follow written and verbal instructions as required
  • Contribute to site/company culture by completing job duties with a positive attitude
Requirements
  • 2-5 years of surveying or total station layout experience pertinent to construction
  • Certification in surveying – piping – fitting or structural trades is an advantage
  • An understanding of drawings and specifications for Mechanical, Architectural, Structural
  • Ability to manage, mentor, and supervise 1st/2nd/3rd/4th year apprentices if required
  • Flexibility to travel within the lower mainland
