The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Hazardous Materials Professional to join our team at WSP Canada. As a key member of our Occupational Hygiene and Safety Group, you will be responsible for providing hazardous materials assessment and abatement/remediation services to our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct visual assessments of buildings for hazardous materials, including asbestos, lead, PCBs, and other substances.
  • Collect and analyze bulk samples of suspect hazardous materials.
  • Develop hazardous materials management plans, safe work procedures, and exposure control plans.
  • Conduct hazardous materials condition assessments and abatement/remediation inspections.
  • Assist with indoor air quality and occupational hygiene projects.
Requirements
  • Occupational Health and Safety or Environmental diploma/certificate/degree an asset.
  • 2-8 years' experience in health and safety/hazardous materials required.
  • Hazardous materials training an asset.
  • Experience in the consulting industry an asset.
  • Unrestricted Class 5 Driver's License valid in British Columbia.
