Senior Accountant, Audit

As a Senior Accountant, you will apply KPMG's audit and accounting practices and methodologies at client engagements.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct external and internal financial statement audits for private companies, leading field engagement teams and coaching junior staff. You will also develop and maintain relationships with client management.
The role includes preparation of review and notice to reader working paper files, including unaudited financial statements.
Prepare financial statements and notes thereto.Perform financial and systems analysis.Preparation of personal and corporate income tax returns.Coach and mentor junior staff accountants.As an Audit professional, you will provide a high-value service, helping companies assess their risk and ensure transparency across their operations.

What You Bring
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Ability to work independently and within a team environment.Proven track record in strong project management and organizational skills.Effectively monitor multiple or complex projects to check progress against deadlines and budget.Excellent client service skills with an aptitude to understand clients' businesses and maintain strong client relationships.Dedication and motivation to achieve high standards of client service and professional performance.Ability to use previous experience and technical knowledge to benefit clients.Previous experience using accounting frameworks applicable in Canada (IFRS, ASPE, NPO, and/or Public Sector).Able to use a range of techniques to analyze issues.Previous use of Tax Prep and Caseware programs would be beneficial.Successful completion of the CFE and working towards a CPA designation.2-3 years post-graduate experience with exposure to various industries.KPMG Canada Pay Range Information
The expected base salary range for this position is $53,500 to $79,000 and may be eligible for bonus awards. The determination of an applicant's base salary within this range is based on individual location, skills, & competencies, and unique qualifications. In addition, KPMG Canada offers a comprehensive and competitive Total Rewards program.
