Job Summary:

Barminco Mine Services Canada Ltd. is seeking an experienced Heavy-Duty Mechanic to join our team at the Hemlo Operations. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our underground heavy-duty equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on underground CAT and Sandvick mobile mining equipment
  • Identify and report required parts and materials needed to complete tasks
  • Work safely and efficiently while practicing good housekeeping
  • Collaborate with the Maintenance Foreman to ensure effective equipment maintenance and repair

Requirements:

  • Ontario Provincial Trades License (Heavy Duty Technician 421A; Truck & Coach Technician 310T; Automotive Service Tech 310S) or Inter-Provincial Red Seal certification
  • Minimum 5 years' experience working in a fast-paced underground mine environment
  • Strong computer skills and ability to work in a cross-cultural environment
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills
