Job Title: Laundry Attendant

Job Summary:

As a Laundry Attendant at Bayshore HealthCare, you will play a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and efficiency of our laundry department. This is a dynamic and fast-paced environment where you will work closely with our Housekeeping and Patient Care Assistants to ensure that our patients receive the highest quality care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Formulate washing formulas for stained and soiled patient laundry and linens.
  • Sort and process patient clothing and linens in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Ensure that all laundry is washed and processed to the highest standards before being placed into inventory.
  • Communicate any maintenance or upkeep issues to the appropriate personnel.
  • Identify opportunities to improve laundry efficiency and suggest solutions.
  • Organize and sort patient clothing and linens in a way that is easy to access and use.
  • Fold and package laundry items in a neat and pristine manner.
  • Work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines and production standards.
  • Be available to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Demonstrate a positive attitude and friendly demeanor towards clients and staff.
  • Multitask and manage multiple machines and products simultaneously.
  • Ensure that the proper amount of linen is available to disperse to client floors.

Requirements:

  • Secondary school diploma preferred.
  • Physical mobility and stamina required.
  • Ability to follow instructions and work independently.
  • Detail-oriented and professional attitude required.
  • Previous laundry or dry cleaning experience desired, preferably in a clinical or facility setting.
