Job Title: Gravel Truck Driver - Heavy Equipment Operator

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Gravel Truck Driver to join our team at Optima Trucking. As a Gravel Truck Driver, you will be responsible for transporting gravel and aggregate materials to various construction sites across the region.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport gravel and aggregate materials
  • Load and unload goods at construction sites
  • Perform pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and efficiency
  • Oversee the condition of the vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment
  • Perform emergency roadside repairs and preventive maintenance
  • Record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption

Requirements:

  • Air Brakes Endorsement
  • Class 3/3F/DF Licence (trailer truck, vehicles with more than 3 axles)
  • Ability to work in a physically demanding environment with heavy loads
  • Attention to detail and ability to follow safety protocols
  • Flexibility and willingness to relocate for this position
