As a Power Engineer at Agropur, you will play a critical role in maintaining the efficiency and safety of our industrial facilities. Your expertise in mechanical systems, including ammonia refrigeration, will be essential in ensuring the smooth operation of our production processes.

  • 84 hours bi-weekly (12 hour shifts-Pitman schedule)

Responsibilities:

  • Support Industrial Mechanics/Electricians with equipment breakdowns and troubleshooting
  • Operation/maintenance of Ammonia Refrigeration System, Boiler, Air Compressors, HVAC etc.
  • Completion of planned maintenance during production downtime
  • Use of a CMMS for completing assigned as well as unplanned work
  • Strong commitment to occupational health and safety including LOTO, arc flash, working at heights, confined space etc.

Requirements:

  • 3rd Class Power Engineer or 2nd Class Refrigeration Plant Operator license
  • Strong mechanical or other relevant technical background
  • Sound troubleshooting skills in an industrial environment
  • Capable of working in a fast-paced team-oriented processing and manufacturing environment working rotating shifts with occasional overtime, weekend work and on-call duties.
