We are seeking a highly skilled Electronics Systems Specialist to join our team at People First Solutions. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for specifying and designing marine steering, propulsion, and braking systems.
Key Responsibilities- Develop technical proposals and specifications for marine control systems
- Collaborate with engineering, quality, and production teams to implement capital projects
- Review and improve existing electronic control product designs
- Support the development and maintenance of engineering standard operating procedures
- Conduct factory acceptance testing for electronic control systems
- Provide production support services and interface with customers and vendors
- Generate user manuals, data sheets, and design specifications
- Maintain regulatory compliance and certification for electronic products and systems
- 10+ years of experience in electronics, preferably in the marine industry
- Strong knowledge of electronic controls and complex systems
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Proficient in Altium, Autocad, or Solidworks, and the Office 360 suite of software
- A post-secondary degree in Electronics Engineering or an Applied Science Diploma (ECET)
- Member in good standing with the Association of Professional Engineers
