About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Electronics Systems Specialist to join our team at People First Solutions. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for specifying and designing marine steering, propulsion, and braking systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop technical proposals and specifications for marine control systems
  • Collaborate with engineering, quality, and production teams to implement capital projects
  • Review and improve existing electronic control product designs
  • Support the development and maintenance of engineering standard operating procedures
  • Conduct factory acceptance testing for electronic control systems
  • Provide production support services and interface with customers and vendors
  • Generate user manuals, data sheets, and design specifications
  • Maintain regulatory compliance and certification for electronic products and systems
Requirements
  • 10+ years of experience in electronics, preferably in the marine industry
  • Strong knowledge of electronic controls and complex systems
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Proficient in Altium, Autocad, or Solidworks, and the Office 360 suite of software
  • A post-secondary degree in Electronics Engineering or an Applied Science Diploma (ECET)
  • Member in good standing with the Association of Professional Engineers
