Job Summary
The Sales Associate Principal is responsible for selling and promoting Tommy Hilfiger merchandise while following the company's customer service standards. This role involves cashier responsibilities and participation in various operational activities assigned by the store management team.
Main Responsibilities
- Provide consistent customer service that meets the company's standards.
- Ensure adequate stock levels on the sales floor.
- Ensure the store has a distinctive visual presentation and impeccable maintenance.
- Minimize losses by following loss prevention procedures.
- Demonstrate knowledge of sales plans and store results.
- Demonstrate knowledge of individual contributions to business results.
- Follow all company policies and procedures.
- Manage time effectively and prioritize tasks.
- Demonstrate excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Participate in 5-minute meetings and staff meetings as needed.
Customer Service Responsibilities
- Maximize sales potential according to TH customer service standards.
- Establish a base of regular customers through excellent data collection and service.
- Stay up-to-date on products, promotions, and special events to communicate to customers and drive sales.
- Consistently promote a positive in-store experience by treating all customers and employees fairly and equally.
- Maintain good coverage by greeting every customer, prioritizing customers before tackling tasks.
- Demonstrate excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Manage time effectively and prioritize tasks.
Personal Responsibilities
- Represent the TH brand by adopting a personal and professional appearance.
- Demonstrate a professional image and behavior.
- Be prepared to work a variable schedule as determined by management.
- Communicate any concerns to the management team.
- Assist in the development of sales associates.
- Maintain respect within the peer group, staff, and supervisors.
- Generate energy and enthusiasm for common goals and act with integrity.
- Support all decisions made by the company and management team.
- Modify schedules, adapt to job needs, assume night shifts, weekends, and holidays.
Operational Responsibilities
- Adhere to policies and procedures.
- Supervise the sales floor and backroom to prevent losses and notify management of any unusual internal or external activity.
- Complete the daily opening and closing checklist as prescribed by management to ensure the store is always ready.
- Process all cash transactions, including those handled by management (refunds, exchanges, merchandise credit, gift cards, cash box reconciliation).
- Authorized to reconcile all documentation when requested: Cash box count, secondary verification of cash in the safe, cash register reconciliation between cashiers.
- Be able to lift a minimum of 40 pounds and stand for long periods of time.
Merchandising and Visual Presentation Responsibilities
- Ensure continuous and adequate product replenishment on the sales floor.
- Respect visual presentation standards.
- Execute markdowns and restock as needed.
- Ensure the cleanliness of fixtures, hardware, and overall store cleanliness.
