What you'll do

  • Develop and execute project plans according to established methodologies, ensuring successful and coordinated completion of project components, and consulting with stakeholders as needed.
  • Monitor and report on project progress, identifying and addressing major barriers encountered, and making recommendations to the Director regarding project scope and related changes.
  • Participate in the development and monitoring of project budgets, adhering to allocated budgets and utilizing best practice methods to ensure thorough monitoring.
  • Provide leadership and guidance in situations requiring interpretation and judgment, utilizing initiative, vision, and creative problem-solving abilities to implement project plans and achieve desired outcomes.

What you bring

Qualifications

  • A Master's Degree in Health Services Administration, Business Administration, or a relevant healthcare discipline, with a minimum of five years of recent experience in project management and facilitating consultation processes with diverse stakeholder groups.
  • Project Management Professional designation is considered an asset.

Skills & Knowledge

  • Comprehensive knowledge of project management principles and methodologies, with the ability to coach team members on these skills.
  • Experience or working knowledge of content areas is essential for the success of this role.
  • Effective budget monitoring and project plan execution with stringent timelines.
  • Excellent communication skills to function within a complex interdisciplinary environment, including the ability to communicate with the physician community.
  • Utilize effective facilitation, persuasion, and negotiation abilities to achieve consensus, resolve conflict, and achieve desired outcomes.
  • Work effectively under time pressure to meet deadlines, balance work priorities, and resolve problems in a timely manner.
  • Computer literacy with word-processing, spreadsheet, presentation, project management, and database applications.
  • Commitment to upholding the shared responsibility of creating lasting and meaningful reconciliation in Canada, as per the Truth and Reconciliation Commission and BC's Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples Act.
  • Familiarity with addressing Indigenous-specific anti-racism, anti-racism, and Indigenous Cultural Safety, as well as foundational documents and legislative commitments.
