Job Title: Language Instructor for Tamil Course

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly qualified language instructor to teach a Tamil language course at the University of Toronto.

Duties and Responsibilities: The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching one or more sections of first-year and/or second-year, and/or third-year Tamil to undergraduate students. The instructor will also be required to develop, administer, and mark assignments and final portfolios, as well as calculate and submit grades.

Requirements: Applicants must have native or near-native fluency in Tamil, preferably Sri Lankan Tamil, and a Master's degree in Linguistics, Teaching a Foreign Language, Second Language Acquisition, or equivalent. Experience with computer-assisted instruction and online courses is highly desirable.

Work Location: The position will be located at the University of Toronto Scarborough campus.
