Job Summary


Reporting to the Manager, Ramp YTZ, the Airport Operations Manager will oversee a team of coordinators and serve as a central point of contact for stakeholders involved in airport operations. They will collect and share information with various stakeholders as well as maintain the integrity of various systems, all in support of safe, on-time turn performance.

Key Responsibilities

Provide supervision, coaching, and mentorship to a team of 4-6 airport operations coordinators.
Assist with developing and maintaining a set of standard operating procedures.
Train new team members, and existing team members on new processes.
Perform administrative functions including scheduling and payroll for the team of airport operations coordinators.
Act as a central point of contact for airport operations, collecting and sharing information between internal and external teams.
Ensure that all concerned parties have timely, accurate information in order to make decisions and direct airport operations.

Requirements

Ability to work on a permanent basis in Canada.
Minimum 2 years of experience in airline operations or a related industry.
Able to effectively and professionally communicate both orally and in writing.
Able to collaborate and operate effectively as part of a cross-functional team.
Has a proactive approach to work, can solve problems and maintain a positive attitude in the face of operational disruptions.
Strong organizational skills, detail-oriented, and able to effectively manage multiple tasks.
Clear attendance record and flexibility to work rotating morning and overnight shifts, weekends, and holidays.
Able to obtain Transport Canada Restricted Area Identification Card (Security Clearance).
