About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Engineering Technologist to join our team at JIT Automation Inc. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for assisting in the inspection of mechanical installations and construction projects, preparing design, drawings, and specifications, and carrying out mechanical tests and analyses.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the inspection of mechanical installations and construction projects to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
  • Prepare and interpret engineering design, drawings, and specifications to support project development and implementation.
  • Carry out a range of mechanical tests and analyses to evaluate the performance and safety of machines, components, and materials.
  • Estimate costs and materials required for projects and prepare detailed reports.
  • Supervise maintenance programs and operation of mechanical plants to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
  • Test and inspect mechanical equipment to ensure it meets safety and quality standards.
Requirements
  • College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1-2 years.
  • 2 years of experience in a related field, preferably in mechanical engineering or a related discipline.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, including design, testing, and analysis.
  • Proficiency in CAD software, including AutoCAD and SolidWorks.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
