We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head Chef to join our team at Ontario Inc.

Job Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the kitchen operations, ensuring high-quality food products are prepared and presented in a timely manner. This includes but is not limited to:

  • Preparation and cooking of complete meals or individual dishes and foods;
  • Food preparation for customers with dietary restrictions;
  • Inspection of kitchens and food service areas to maintain health and safety standards;
  • Training of kitchen staff in food handling and preparation techniques;
  • Ordering of supplies and equipment;
  • Supervision of kitchen staff and helpers;
  • Maintenance of inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment;
  • Cleaning of kitchen and work areas;
  • Organization of buffets and banquets.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Degree in Culinary Arts or equivalent experience;
  • 1-2 years of experience in a similar role;
  • Strong leadership and communication skills;
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment;
  • Familiarity with Canadian cuisine and East Indian specialties.
