Job Title: Senior Trading and Risk Specialist

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Trading and Risk Specialist to join our team at AltaGas. As a key member of our Commodity Risk Management & Fundamentals team, you will be responsible for developing and executing trading & risk management activities to support our Export Terminals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute trading strategies to optimize our commodity positions
  • Monitor and manage risk exposure across various markets and commodities
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and capitalize on market opportunities
  • Provide market analysis and insights to inform business decisions
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including suppliers, customers, and industry partners
  • Stay up-to-date with market trends, regulatory changes, and industry developments

Requirements:

  • Post-secondary degree in Commerce, Economics, Finance, or Engineering
  • 10+ years of progressive and successful trading or marketing experience
  • Technical understanding of liquids processing and commodity markets
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
