Job Title: Senior Trading and Risk Specialist

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Trading and Risk Specialist to join our team at AltaGas. As a key member of our Commodity Risk Management & Fundamentals team, you will be responsible for developing and executing trading & risk management activities to support our Export Terminals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute trading strategies to optimize our commodity positions
  • Monitor and manage risk across various types of exposures
  • Provide P&L reports and forecasts to senior management
  • Develop and maintain business processes and systems to ensure proper administration of executed contracts
  • Collaborate with internal departments to ensure effective communication and risk mitigation

Requirements:

  • Post-secondary degree in Commerce, Economics, Finance, or Engineering
  • 10+ years of progressive and successful Trading or Marketing experience
  • Exceptional Excel skills and experience using ETRM and Trading screens
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Superior oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills
