About the Role

This Unit Clerk position plays a vital role in supporting the nursing team on the unit. The incumbent will perform clerical, receptionist, and communication functions, exercising initiative and independent judgment in determining work priorities and methods.

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Providing administrative support to the nursing team
  • Managing patient records and reports
  • Coordinating communications with patients, families, and healthcare providers
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of one year's experience in a related clinical area
  • Grade 12 education or equivalent, as well as a Unit Clerk Certificate
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications and Email
  • Demonstrated written and oral communication skills
  • Able to prioritize tasks in a changing environment
Working Conditions

This position requires working evenings and weekends as necessary, with occasional overtime. You must also be able to meet the physical demands of the job, which includes sitting for extended periods and using computer equipment.

Compensation

The estimated annual salary for this role is between $29,344 and $34,491, based on a full-time schedule with regular hours. This amount may vary depending on your qualifications and experience.
