About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Governance Specialist to join our team at Huntel Global Inc.

The successful candidate will be responsible for establishing and maintaining data governance capabilities, including stewardship management, business glossaries, reference data management, policies management, data dictionary, intuitive workflow, and embedded privacy by design.

Key Responsibilities
  • Establish Data Governance Capabilities
    • Develop and implement data governance policies and procedures
    • Establish data stewardship management and business glossaries
    • Implement reference data management and data dictionary
    • Design and implement intuitive workflow and embedded privacy by design
  • Perform Business Process Analysis
    • Analyze business processes to identify gaps and inefficiencies
    • Propose solutions and plans to streamline business processes
  • Contribute to Data Management and Quality Processes
    • Develop and implement data management and quality processes
    • Ensure compliance with data privacy, confidentiality, and security policies
Requirements
  • Extensive Experience in Data Governance
    • Minimum 5 years of experience in data governance with a focus on data privacy and protection
  • Technical Skills
    • Experience with data catalog and inventory
    • Experience with data elements, data governance rule definition, and data lineage and retention policies
    • Experience with data protection, data provisioning, data sharing, and data stewardship
  • Business Acumen
    • Knowledge of data privacy regulations such as GDPR, CCPA, Privacy Act Canada, Bill 64, loi 25, etc.
    • Experience with data governance and privacy platforms such as Colibra, Alation, OneTrust, etc.
  • Education and Certifications
    • Bachelor's degree in business technology, information systems, or a related field
    • Certification in data governance or data management is an asset
  • Industry Experience
    • Experience working in Retail, Automotive, Transportation, or Financial Services industries
