Job Summary

The Learning and Development Trainer plays a pivotal role in enhancing employee skills at Bison Transport. This position involves facilitating training programs focused on Operational roles, utilizing a blended approach of classroom, on-the-job, and eLearning platforms. The successful candidate will provide thorough post-course assessments to ensure Operations leaders can support learners after training.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with the business and learners to meet identified learning objectives.
  • Plan and prepare training through administering pre-training and setting up the learning environment.
  • Deliver training using established delivery methods and adult learning principles.
  • Motivate and assess participants' progress in a virtual or in-person setting.
  • Evaluate learning content and curriculum to ensure relevance to current operational practices.
Requirements
  • Experience in a transportation operational environment is an asset.
  • Strong technical and computer skills.
  • Proven group facilitation, presentation, oral, and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a digital/virtual environment.
  • Commitment to providing exceptional customer service.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to achieve win-win outcomes.
  • Desire to work in a dynamic continuous improvement environment.
  • Above-average relationship building skills.
  • Willingness to gain current subject matter knowledge and understanding.
