Manufacturing Engineering Documentation Specialist

Job Summary:
The Manufacturing Engineering Technical Assistant - Writer will provide support to the ME team by creating and maintaining documents, including work instructions, SOPs, and other technical documentation. The successful candidate will ensure that all documentation is up-to-date and accessible to all Carfair sites.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create and document Work Instructions (WI) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) with the support of the Manufacturing Engineer team.
- Manage the Carfair CDN/US database of Work Instructions (WI) to ensure accuracy and up-to-dateness.
- Ensure WIs and SOPs are accessible and compliant with ISO standards, especially in preparation for audits.
- Collaborate with the Manufacturing Engineering (ME), Sales and Marketing, and Production teams for all Carfair sites.
- Prepare and maintain documentation related to Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) and First Article Inspection (FAI) processes.
- Ensure seamless communication and documentation processes.
- Provide administrative assistance as required to the ME team, ensuring efficient operation and project completion.
Requirements:
- University degree preferred.
- 2-5 years' experience in a manufacturing environment is essential.
- Understanding of bill of materials and routings generation and maintenance.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and handle changing priorities.
- Skills to read and understand blueprints.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
- Experience with Windows, email, and scheduling software.
- Understanding of LEAN manufacturing concepts is a plus.
