Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Maintenance Operations Manager to join our team at the Best Western Terrace Inn and Terrace Inn Liquor Store. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about ensuring a clean and safe environment for our guests.

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance and upkeep of our hotel and liquor store facilities, including supervising and coordinating the activities of our cleaning staff. They will also be responsible for inspecting sites or facilities to ensure safety and cleanliness standards are met.

About You:

  • You have a secondary (high) school graduation certificate and 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field.
  • You possess efficient interpersonal skills, flexibility, and reliability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Hire and train or arrange for training of cleaning staff.
  • Supervise and co-ordinate activities of workers.
  • Inspect sites or facilities to ensure safety and cleanliness standards.
  • Prepare budget and cost estimates.
  • Recommend or arrange for additional services required such as painting, repair work, renovations or replacement of furnishings and equipment.
  • Assist cleaners in performing duties.
  • Co-ordinate work activities with other departments.
  • Establish work schedules.

Working Conditions and Physical Capabilities:

  • This is a fast-paced environment that requires manual dexterity.

Salary Information:

We offer a competitive salary of approximately $43,000 to $54,000 per year, depending on experience.
