Key Objectives:
- Gain experience with regional crops and UPL Canada's product portfolio
- Develop knowledge in initiating and implementing large-scale grower and small-scale product development trials
- Enhance customer relationship skills by working with and observing interactions between Technical Sales Specialists and growers
- Obtain experience with project presentation skills and working in a team environment
- Increase agronomic skills in weed, insect, and disease identification, pesticide application, and biosolution use
Required Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing an Agriculture-related Bachelor's degree or Agriculture diploma from an accredited program (Agri-Business or Agronomy major preferred)
- Ability to work independently from a home office
- Skilled in computer use (MS Excel, MS Word, MS PowerPoint, MS Outlook)
- Valid driver's license and good driving record
- Superior work ethic and highly motivated
- Leadership and interpersonal skills/experience desired
- Demonstrated ability to solve problems and make decisions independently
- Written and oral communication skills, with ability to influence decision-making
- Basic knowledge of farming practices
Job Duties:
- Assist in initiation and management of field demonstration and product development plots where product data is collected, analyzed, and summarized
- Apply product for research and development trials
- Participate in agronomy product trials at Ag in Motion
- Develop interpersonal and communication skills while working closely with Technical Support Specialists, consultants, retailers, and customers
- Maintain and observe safe working conditions
