About the Role

Cogent Environmental Solutions Ltd. is seeking a highly skilled Environmental Sustainability Manager to join our team in Calgary. As a key member of our environmental consulting firm, you will be responsible for managing environmental projects and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Management: Plan, coordinate, and execute environmental projects, including site assessments, remediation, and compliance projects.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and laws, including EPEA Approval type work, soil and groundwater investigations, and monitoring.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and manage a team of environmental professionals, providing guidance and support to ensure project success.
  • Client Relationships: Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, including upstream oil and gas, industrial, midstream, government, and service company clients.
  • Business Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including developing proposals and presentations.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience: 5-10 years of experience in environmental consulting, with a focus on project management, regulatory compliance, and team leadership.
  • Skills: Strong knowledge of environmental regulations and laws, excellent communication and project management skills, and the ability to lead and manage a team.
  • Professional Designations: P. Ag., P. Eng., RT Ag., CET, or P.Geo.
