Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Occupational Therapist to join our team at Headwaters Health Care Centre. As an Occupational Therapist, you will play a vital role in providing expert care to patients with a wide range of conditions, including dementia, deconditioning, chronic, orthopedic, and neurological conditions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality occupational therapy assessment and treatment to patients, including cognitive and perceptual assessments to determine the most appropriate treatment plan.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Develop and implement individualized plans of care to promote patient independence and functional ability.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure timely and accurate documentation of patient care.
  • Provide education and support to patients and families on managing conditions and promoting healthy lifestyles.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes.
Requirements
  • BScOT/MScOT or equivalent required.
  • Registered and licensed with the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario (COTO).
  • Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in acute and/or rehabilitation hospital environment preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in hand therapy and splinting required.
  • Hand Specialist Certification preferred.
  • Strong computer skills and excellent organizational abilities.
  • Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
