Job Title: Night Shift Supervisor/CNC Operator MUST HAVE CNC EXPERIENCE Company Overview: Plainsman Mfg. Inc. is a locally owned manufacturing and distribution company with a rich history dating back to 1966. Our company has been serving the Edmonton, Alberta community for decades, providing high-quality products and services to the oilfield production, pipeline maintenance, construction, and gas and water distribution industries. Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced CNC Operator and Supervisor to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the production process, scheduling, and ensuring timely and efficient work order completion. Additionally, they will supervise the Quality Control department and assist as required. Key Responsibilities: * CNC programming and operation * Overseeing the production process and scheduling * Ensuring timely and efficient work order completion * Supervising the Quality Control department and assisting as required * Following company guidelines and procedures with regard to work order/information flow * Working closely with managers to identify and implement the company's goals and objectives * Enforcing safety and sanitation regulations * Monitoring product standards and quality * Identifying production problems and working with team leaders/programmers to resolve them * Assisting with the organization and restocking of the tool room during understaffed periods * Applying lean principles to the manufacturing process to increase quality and reduce waste * Willingness to run machines if needed Secondary Responsibilities: * Miscellaneous tasks as requested by the manager * Assisting in the employee performance review process * Assisting in the resolution of employee complaints and grievances * Assisting programmers and operators with production issues as needed * Assisting with the operation of high-demand equipment during busy and understaffed periods Requirements: * Knowledge of CNC Lathe/Mills * CNC programming * Supervisor experience (preferred) * High school diploma (preferred) * Computer knowledge * Good communication * Problem-solving and trouble-shooting * Understanding of Lean manufacturing Language: English
