Job Summary

VCA Canada is seeking a skilled Veterinary Assistant to join our rehabilitation team in a full-time capacity. As a key member of our team, you will assist our rehabilitation technician and specialist with various tasks and treatments, including patient handling, procedure preparation, client communication, and scheduling consultations and procedures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist veterinary staff with various tasks and treatments, including patient handling and procedure preparation.
  • Create a warm and welcoming environment for patients and pet owners.
  • Develop a positive, low-stress atmosphere for clients and patients.
  • Perform general housekeeping duties, including maintaining the cleanliness of work areas, pet holding areas, and common areas.
  • Be willing to learn and adapt to new procedures and tasks.
  • Schedule: This position requires full-time, 40 hours per week, with 10-hour shifts.
